산수유꽃 진 자리

시냇물 소리한테까지 들려주어

The Place where Cornelian Cherry Blossoms Fell

I love you, I have loved.
I needed to tell someone,
but there was no one I could tell with confidence,
then I came close to the cornelian cherry blossoms
and muttered absentmindedly.
The yellow cornelian cherry blossoms
memorized that and told it to the warm sunlight,
told it to the visiting birds,
even told it to the sound of the stream.
I love you, I have loved.
I didn't tell them your name,
I told them everything, except your name.
The stream kept repeating it all summer,
but now autumn has come to an end,
and the sound of the stream has fallen silent,
only the place where the cornelian cherry blossoms fell,
and the cornelian cherry berries are even more beautiful,
